[MBZ] wiper not

Best to look before buying parts. My 76 300D came with a nice spare part for the wipers still in the MB packaging.
The PO bought it and when he took the car apart to fix it, he found out that the piece had just come off and did
not need to put the new one on.

My '78 300D had the same failure   when it was just a few years old. Getting
the grilles off was more of a challenge than the fix. That's when I learned
about the plastic rivet thingies.

I purchased a replacement part for whatever came apart at the dealer for
small money. Never occurred to me to kludge the repair.
