[MBZ] '92 300TE: Any concerns specific to the engine on these?

Hey Volks, after two recent run-ins with other motorists/bicyclists
which required timely application of my TD's ABS to save my bacon,
I've decided it's time my wife had the same access to bacon-saving
technology as me.  So, I'm considering a '92 300TE w/125k as a
suitable, if somewhat temporary replacement until I locate a '90-'93
300D.  I'm fairly familiar with the T-model chassis, but I don't know
too much about the gasser engines (yeeech!) in these things.  I
believe they run KE-Jetronic injection and are prone to valve stem
issues.  What else should I be aware of with these (yeeech!) gasser
engines?  Ignition system issues?  Fuel mileage?
