[MBZ] spring time

I had an 86 Taurus and it was really a pretty good car. The struts wore out rather quickly but when it was new, the
handling was really amazing for a north american vehicle. Fuel injected v6 ran rather well and the 4 speed auto OD
tranny was good. Rust caught up with it after about 10 years but all in all it was one that I did not regret
buying. Unfortunately, we replaced it with a 97 Sable and that one caused no end of grief. I would have thought
there should have been a greater risk with the 86 given it was the first year of a radical new design for Ford.

I think I remember that, too. Funny, because the first-generation Taurus
was so obviously a ripoff of the Audi 5000 (in terms of styling, at least).
