I remember another ad where the lady was so pleased that the parking ticket she got for her Granada indicated the
vehicle was a Mercedes.

I brought this whole thing up a couple of years ago on the other list. I
specifically remember the commercial for it.

Two guys are walking through a parking lot and one guy says to the other,

"Did you see my new car Bob?"

"No, where is it?"

Shows a shot of a silver Granada parked next to a silver MB....both cars
are seen from behind

"You bought A Mercedes??!!"

"No, it's my new Granada"

"It looks just like a Mercedes!"

"Yeah! And I saved thousands!!"

I nearly wet my pants when I saw that for the first time I laughed so hard.

Just like the stupid GM commercial that spoke about some POS of theirs,

" It has more cylinders than a Jaguar XJ6......a bigger trunk than a
Rolls Royce......blahblahblah
