Don't know if things are the same down there but you can likely find used propane tanks free or at least real
cheap. You could connect more than one 20# tanks together if you don't need it to be too portable. Around here they
are throw away after 10 years as one has to have them recertified or can't get them refilled. I think the bigger
tanks are like that as well. A 100# tank would be a good size for a compressor. I know a fellow who uses an old hot
water tank for supplemental air but I am not sure I would do that. They are supposedly tested to something like
300# and he only runs about 100# of air but it still makes me a bit nervous. He is an engineer by trade however and
one would think he is not totally goofy (although if you met him you might wonder). He is really into Porsche.

Furnace? What is that? Down south here remember? We use heat pumps and
resistance heat. I like the water heater idea and happen to know where there
is a 100 gallon that I could probably secure for little to no $$$$s.
