Good suggestion - my lower pivot was twisting so I bought all the 
replacement parts - when I removed all the parts, I found the damper, 
spring, tensioner and lower pivot were all bad - and with only 100k on my 
engine/car I think Marshall's comment when he said <<<In my experience, the 
belt/tensioner/shock/idler assembly require attention about every 75kmi, but 
not every piece needs to be replaced every time. The shock absorber seems to 
be the shortest lived element. >>> is accurate.
